The WyreStorm SP-UTP0108 splitter allows you to connect your SkyHD (or Freesat HD) satellite set-top box to up to eight HDTV displays. It is a flexible
distribution hub that can accommodate multiple displays when more HDMI Splitters are connected to create a larger distribution.
The WyreStorm SP-UTP0108 supports HDMI 1.3b features and passes the higher bandwidth HDMI 1.3b signal for the ultimate in state-of-the-art
HDMI signal duplication. The WyreStorm SP-UTP0108 splitter maintains high resolution video - beautiful, sharp HDTV resolutions up to 1080p,
2k, and computer resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 are easily achieved. This means it handles SkyHD 1080i/720p with ease and has the band width
for 3D.
NB: This product supports both digital video and digital audio signals.
Fully HDCP Compliant
HDCP (high definition content protection) is a standard that is encoded into the video signal to prevent it from being
pirated. If a source device is HDCP coded and is connected to a HDTV display or projector without the proper HDCP decoding
mechanism, the picture is relegated to “snow” or in some cases, very low (480P) resolutions of the images. In order to see HDTV
with HDCP compliance, both the source and display devices must be equipped with HDMI or DVI connections that can enable HDCP decoding,
such as the HDMI Splitter.
How it Works
The WyreStorm SP0108 splitter is connected using an HDMI cable from the SkyHD HDMI output to the HDMI splitter input. There is a single HDMI output for
direct connection of an HDMI cable to a local HDTV (or into another splitter for cascading into large systems) and another 7 outlets over Cat5e/6.
The WyreStorm SP-UTP0108 splitter supports 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions.
You will need one receiver for each remote TV. These are not included in the price shown.
WyreStorm HDMI over Cat5e/6 receivers - wall mount (RX-50IR-PRO-IW) or free standing (RX-50IR-PRO)
The optional WyreStorm RX-50IR-PRO receivers use dual STP/UTP LAN cables (Cat5e/6) to substitute for the HDMI cables to achieve long range transmission. Using these US style
extenders, the HDMI 1080p signals can be transmitted up to 50 metres with Cat6 cable (less for Cat5e cable).
Data transmission rates support the HDMI 1080P signal. LED indicators show the power and video signal status.
The receivers handle the infrared control signal of the matrix and source equipment in addition to the HDMI signal.
If you only have a single Cat6 cable, please call and ask for the RX-50-PRO receiver (NB without IR).
With the WyreStorm RX-50IR-PRO HDMIv1.3b is supported with data transmission rates of up to 2.25Gbits. Also this receiver has an EDID setting function, to ensure the compatibility with the greatest
variety of equipment. The RX-50IR-IW unit has built-in ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection to avoid interference of the AV quality.
