The Gefen Component Audio to HDMI Adapter is a unique device that allows older analogue devices to be integrated seamlessly into the modern home
cinema systems. This adapter connects component video devices to HDMI digital displays.
The Gefen Component Audio to HDMI Adapter also takes analogue Left + Right stereo audio and encodes it onto the HDMI signal for the full HDMI video and audio effect.
This means that with the Gefen Component Audio to HDMI Adapter your home cinema DVD player and media center PC system can be easily connected to any HDMI display
for the full digital video and audio experience.
NB: This converter will only work with a computer if the computer can output HDTV signals, ie 480p, 720p 1080i or 1080p. It will not work with standard computer resolutions.
How it works
Simply connect the supplied RCA Component cable to the input side of the Gefen Component Audio to HDMI Adapter. Then connect the RCA
audio cables to the audio inputs of the Component Audio to HDMI Adapter. Then connect the HDMI display or projector to the HDMI output of the Component Audio
to HDMI Adapter. The adapter generates the compatible analogue to digital conversion signals for video and audio as well encoding the audio onto the HDMI
to make the connection between the analogue inputs and the digital output work.
