Gefen 1x8 Component Video distribution amp

The Gefen 1 to 8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier/Receiver system is the perfect solution for anyone who needs to send one source to multiple displays in remote locations at the same time, because the sender is a combination distribution amplifier and active balun system.

Unlike normal Component Video splitters or distribution amplifiers, the Gefen 1x8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier has one Component Video input and eight RJ45 output connectors. The 1x8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier's RJ45 connectors are connected to up to eight Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier receivers using CAT5 cable. The receivers can be placed up to 100 metres away from the transmitter.

NB: This system does NOT transmit audio.

How it Works

Simply connect your Component video source to the 1x8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier's input using the supplied component Video cable. Then connect up to eight displays to the Component Video CAT5 receivers. When the 1x8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier is powered and the receivers will get power over the CAT5.

NB: Component Video output 1 is the primary connection and is used for the main display. Component Video output 2 through to 8 follow the main display. The displays attached to the 1x8 Component Video CAT5 Distribution Amplifier MUST support the HDTV resolution outputted by the source in order to get a picture.
