The Audio Authority 9870 HDTV Distribution System incorporates the key signal paths necessary for premium audio and video entertainment, plus an IR pathway
for easy remote control of AV components. All this over just two inexpensive, easy to install Cat 5 cables.
How it works
The 9870 HDTV Distribution System consists of two key components:
- The Cat 5 Driver Hub (part 9871) takes the source feed from your equipment and converts it into the balanced signals that can be distributed over the Cat5
cables
- Two wall plates (part 9878) are each fed from the hub unit, by two runs of Cat5 cable, and provide the connection outlets from your remote equipment
To expand capacity just add more Driver Hubs, Cat5 cable and wall plates. Each wall plate fits onto a standard US style double gang back box or "P-ring". The Driver hubs
can be connected using high quality RCA phono cables.
InfraRed relay through the SixDrive requires a standard IR relay system working through the wallplate back to a connecting block at the hub end, eg
Xantech HiddenLink or Xantech MicroLink or similar.
