The Gefen Home Theater Scaler Plus allows you to upscale and switch your standard definition or high definition component and HDMI sources to resolutions up to 1080p. Anything from set-top boxes and DVD players to the next generation of gaming consoles including the Xbox 360 and PS3 can be plugged into the Home Theater Scaler Plus.

The difference with this 'Plus' version of the Gefen Home Theater Scaler is that it upconverts and upscales one source of composite video or S-video to HDTV on HDMI. (cf. the Gefen Home Theater Scaler which upscales from component video) This makes it ideal for use in upgrading one of your non HD SkyPlus, Sky Digital or Freeview boxes for use with an HD Ready (1080i) or Full HD (1080p) LCD or plasma.

The Gefen Home Theater Scaler Plus supports:

One Component source with analogue audio
One Composite video or S-Video source with analogue audio and
Two HDMI sources with digital audio

The video is output as HDMI. The analogue audio from the composite/S-video/component inputs is digitized and output to both the HDMI connection and the digital audio out connections.

The HDMI inputs also have separate digital audio inputs, so you can use DVI sources with separate digital audio and the Home Theater Scaler Plus will embed the digital audio into the HDMI output as well as the digital audio outputs

Easy to use on-screen menus accessible through the IR remote control allow for effortless setup and image adjustment to accommodate different viewing modes and screen sizes
