the Marantz SR6004 is an excellent AV receiver.
This upgraded Marantz SR6004 receiver replaces the SR6003 and incorporates the latest generation of digital surround decoding technology with automatic selection.
Marantz include the EQ Room Acoustic Calibration system by Audyssey, which automatically optimises the sound to the room.
This new SR6004 upgrade from the SR6003 has added:
- More power with 110 Watts RMS compared to the previous 90 Watts
- Decoders for the new Dolby PLIIz standard in addition to Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio
- Ability to handle playback of music received on Bluetooth from a Bluetooth enabled laptop or mobile device, with the included RX101 connected to the M-XPort
- An extra HDMI input to now give you 4 in and 2 out
The SR6004 improves upon the Marantz SR5004 model by the addition of:
- Four HDMI1.3a inputs for digital audio and video including Deep Color support plus two outputs (cf. 3 in and 1 out for the SR5004)
- Multiroom video with component video output
- A USB input on the front that not only plays your favorite MP3 and WMA-files it is also iPod compatible (digitally). NB. The M-DAX guarantees great sound even from compressed audio
- Higher grade audio components
- An extra digital optical audio input
Digital connectivity
The Marantz SR6004 includes a 4 in 2 out HDMI 1.3a digital video switcher. This ensures that the highest video quality
is activated when required and allows you to switch between three HDMI digital sources,
directly into your LCD or plasma display and a projector.
Examples of suitable video sources with DVI-D or HDMI outputs (HDMI includes digital video and digital audio, DVI-D is the digital
video component only, ie excluding the digital video) include SkyHD and all of the Marantz Blu-ray players.
Music
Marantz’s proprietary M-DAX (Marantz Dynamic Audio eXpander) makes even compressed audio signals (MP3s, AM/FM broadcasts, etc.) sound closer
to CDs than you ever thought possible. As it dynamically analyses a compressed signal, MDAX recreates the missing high frequency spectrum
for your enhanced enjoyment.
The multi-source, multi-room ability of the Marantz SR6004 allows you to select an independent audio and independent video source for a second room.
The Marantz SR6004 comes with the RC003SR remote control. This has an LCD display read out for complete and user friendly control feedback. It also has programmable keys for
entire system control by assigning IR commands from any device, into one learning remote, and macro function keys that ensure multiple IR commands activated with
one key for maximum ease of use.
