Active VGA with audio balun set

This transmitter and receiver active balun system transmits VGA with the addition of stereo audio transmission over the same single run of Cat5e cable. These active VGA with audio baluns (made by Smart Cabling and Transmission Corporation) are for use when you want to receive the highest quality of VGA signal over UTP Category 5e cable.

They have the benefit of a 'loop-though' on the transmitter, so that they do not occupy a dedicated VGA output on the transmitting computer, effectively giving you output to two VGA displays. The stereo audio connections use 3.5mm stereo jack sockets (as for a PC audio output).

The transmitter and receiver active balun pair are ideal for sending VGA images over cat5e UTP over longer distances than you would normally expect from passive VGA baluns for the same quality and resolution, and without the need for shielded cat5e cable, which is required by passive baluns.

This kit enables you to send VGA video at resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 @ 85Hz with stereo audio and is capable of distances of up to 300m.

The kit includes everything to complete your installation - just add your cat5 UTP cable! Skew correction, contrast and brightness adjustment are also included for a perfect setup. Both the transmitter and receiver are housed in a robust metal case.

These active VGA baluns work in conjunction with laptops, PCs, CRT and flat-screen LCD monitors and multimedia projectors.
