The QAV System allows to you have the most discreet 5.1 surround sound system possible in your living room.
The QAV system delivers a truly outstanding all enveloping home cinema and musical experience, but does not intrude into
the living space.
In order to achieve this Q Acoustics have developed a completely new type of advanced speaker driver - the BMR™ - for the QAV system and incorporated it into
innovative speaker housings for the front left/centre/right combination and for the rear satellite speakers.
QAV Front speakers
Uniquely, the QAV front left, centre and right channel speakers (LCR) fit
any flat-screen television (from 37” to 50” screen size).
The LCR speakers are fitted to a telescopic frame that extends or contracts
until the LCR (Left Centre Right) speaker perfectly matches the width of the television.
The frame mounts on the wall and also adjusts back and forward, up and down, until it
again matches the television. When all the adjustments are made,
the speaker ‘disappears’ because it simply looks as if it is an
original part of the TV – even the Q Acoustics badge is magnetic,
for easy removal.
The QAV LCR speaker can either be mounted direct to the wall (bracket supplied as
standard), or for ultimate flexibility, attached to the optional rotating table stand, floor
stand or cantilever bracket. The QAV LCR speaker rotates with your screen (when used with either stand or the cantilever bracket) to optimise home
cinema performance. This, along with the ultra-wide dispersion of the BMR™ speakers, provides high quality sound wherever you are sitting.
QAV Rear speakers
The ‘ultra-wide’ sound-field of the stylish QAV BMR™ rear speakers allows them to be positioned unobtrusively, close to the floor, or ‘up high’ near
the ceiling. The curved design allows for the speakers to be easily fitted even if skirting board or coving is present. The speakers can also
be used free-standing with the supplied support.
The intelligent design of the rear speakers means that speaker cable can be routed along the skirting board or coving, which is especially
useful when it is not possible to run cables through walls.
How do BMR™ Drivers work
To attain the exceptional level of performance demanded, the BMR™ (Balanced Mode Radiator)
drive units embrace NXT* technology and combine this with conventional speaker technology to get the best of both. The Q Acoustics’
QAV speakers are the world’s first products to incorporate this state-of-the-art technology.
The advanced BMR™ drivers developed for this QAV system have a number of advantages over
conventional loudspeakers. Needless to say, like any very high quality loudspeaker, they produce excellent, dynamic, low
distortion sound. However, BMR™ drivers produce this sound from much smaller cabinets than conventional speakers and also boast
an ‘Ultra-Wide’ sound-field. This means listeners can enjoy full home cinema sound from these speakers, anywhere in the room
and not just in the ‘best seat’ as with ordinary speakers.
QAV Subwoofer - where is it?
The powerful 120 watt QAV subwoofer is perfectly matched to the BMR™ surround speakers and
delivers absolutely seamless music and movies. The ‘living room friendly’ QAV subwoofer is
available in black or white and is designed to be wall-mounted although it can stand on its supplied feet if required.
When fitted it looks more like a modern heater or radiator than a subwoofer.
