The Gefen HDMI IR Extender extends your HDMI video AND AUDIO up to 90m away from your HDTV HDMI source and allows control of the
source using IR using cost effective CAT-5 cables.
How it works
The Gefen HDMI IR Extender-S sender unit sits next to your computer, DVD player or any set-top box. The cable supplied with
the HDMI IR Extender-S connects your HDMI video source to the sender. The HDMI IR Extender-R receiver sits next to your HDMI display -
up to 90m away. The display plugs into the back of the HDMI IR Extender receiver. Two CAT-5 cables* are required to connect the sender and
the receiver units to each other.
For a sleeker appearance of your A/V equipment and greater installation flexibility, the optional Gefen IR extender sensor (EXT-RMT-EXTIR) can be
used to completely hide the HDMI IR Receiver.
You can use a Xantech single blink IR Emitter cable to extend IR signals to the source equipment.
NB: This HDMI extender system carries audio and video. Both the Extreme sender and receiver are powered, each by its own plug top power supply.
The HDMI Extender is HDCP compliant.
