Marantz CD401 CD-FM Receiver

The Marantz CR401 includes a CD player, amplifier and an FM/AM radio in a small package, but with the build quality that we have come to associate with Marantz.

The CR401 outputs 30 watts per channel at 4 Ohms, which means that it can be used in multiroom situations when combined with a speaker switch such as the QED SS20 two way or the SS30 three way switches, that protect the amplifier load from dropping below 4 Ohms.

If you do not want to use in-ceiling speakers then consider the Canton Plus X2 mini speakers.

The CD player gives high quality playback of CD, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3 encoded discs, including CD-Text information such as artist name, and track titles (It cannot handle SACD or WMA). The radio has automatic tuning for easy channel set-up, RDS function for station name and also has 40 pre-sets.

The rigid chassis, metal front panel and total weight of 5.7Kg provide a rock-solid base for high quality performance, and ensures that the CR401 is no lightweight in music performance.

A high quality headphone output and supplied remote control complements the versatility of the Marantz CR401.
