The Marantz BD7004 creates a full High Definition 1080p image and outputs Blu-ray discs in a true film-like 24 frames per second. The HDMI 1.3a output
terminal supports Deep Color. The stunning image via the analogue video outputs is created by a high quality 12-bit/297MHz video DAC. In addition to the astonishing picture
quality from Blu-ray the BD7004 will not fall short on DVD as Anchor Bay’s VRS™ video processing takes care of and outputs 1080p from standard material via HDMI1.3a port.
If you have a recent model AV receiver then you will benefit from the fact that it can output the HD audio formats Dolby True HD and DTS HD, alongside the
lossless 5.1 PCM signal converted from the HD audio. This means the Marantz BD7004 can be connected to every existing Marantz A/V receiver with HDMI inputs
for HD audio, even if there are no decoders on board.
The Marantz BD7004 also offers full Profile 2.0/BD-Live specification, meaning that it has a network connection for downloading additional content on movies like extra scenes, alternative ends, interactive games, actors information or director comments from the internet.
Video upconversion of DVD to 1080p
DVDs played on the Marantz BD7004 Blu-ray Disc player benefit from video upconversion to 1080p. "Upconversion" is the term used to describe the conversion of a lower
image resolution to an apparently higher one. In order to achieve that higher resolution, the BD7004 player fills in additional image data by assessing
existing pixels and intelligently predicting what the surrounding pixels should look like.
Upconversion is a great feature for owners of HD Ready digital TVs who want to watch their DVDs at a higher resolution that more closely matches
the capabilities of their TV. With the Marantz BD7004 upconverting to 1080p you get an HDTV picture from your existing DVDs to suit an HDTV ready

or the many other LCD and plasma Full HD screens.

The Marantz BD7004 is a universal disc player and plays DVD-V, DVD-R/RW, SVCD, DivX and CD-R/RW discs, including MP3, WMA and JPEG files. It’s never been easier getting
