Like the Marantz BD7006 the BD8004 creates a full High Definition 1080p image and outputs Blu-ray discs in a true film-like 24 frames per second and its HDMI
1.3a output terminal supports Deep Colour. The stunning image via the analogue video outputs is created by a high quality 12-bit/297MHz video DAC.
If you have a recent model AV receiver then you will benefit from the fact that it can output the HD audio formats Dolby True HD and DTS HD, alongside the
lossless 5.1 PCM signal converted from the HD audio. This High Definition soundtrack, makes your home cinema experience as intense and exciting as possible and the
lossless 5.1pcm means the Marantz BD8004 can be connected to every existing Marantz A/V receiver with HDMI inputs

Video upconversion of DVD to 1080p
DVDs played on the Marantz BD8004 Blu-ray Disc player benefit from video upconversion to 1080p. "Upconversion" is the term used to describe the conversion of a lower
image resolution to an apparently higher one. In order to achieve that higher resolution, the BD8004 player fills in additional image data by assessing
existing pixels and intelligently predicting what the surrounding pixels should look like.
Upconversion is a great feature for owners of HD Ready digital TVs who want to watch their DVDs at a higher resolution that more closely matches
the capabilities of their TV. With the Marantz BD8004 upconverting to 1080p you get an HDTV picture from your existing DVDs to suit an HDTV ready

The Marantz BD8004 is a universal disc player and plays DVD-V, DVD-R/RW, SVCD, DivX and CD-R/RW discs, including MP3, WMA and JPEG files. It’s never been easier getting
