Discover the perfect combination of your iPod/iPhone and these impressive speakers. The Zikmu Parrot speakers by Starck have been designed for
compatibility with your iPhone and the latest generation of iPhone, iPod and iPod Touch.
By placing your iPhone in the docking station built into one of the columns, you can listen to your favourite music while recharging it.
Control your speakers and iPhone from the comfort of the sofa using the intelligent radio remote control. The iPod®/iPhone™ dock uses Apple®'s
digital encryption chipset. Transfer is entirely digital and supports all digital formats, including Apple Lossless.
Play your music using Bluetooth or WiFi
If you have music on a non iPod device or an iPad, so long as it has Bluetooth, you can use the in-built Bluetooth capability
of this system to stream directly to the Parrots. This will also work with a laptop that has Bluetooth. Likewise if your music is stored on
a computer that has WiFi you can use the WiFi receiver in the Parrot to stream.
Finally on connectivity, if you want to enhance your TV sound, then simply plug the stereo output from the TV into the stereo RCA
sockets on the base of one Parrot. No more wires needed.
Immersive sound transmitted over 360°
The Zikmu Parrot is a daring blend of design and acoustics. Starck wanted to create an elegant high performance object that would integrate
harmoniously into any interior. After nearly three years of research, and with the help of leading audio specialists, these loudspeakers of
a different kind are now available. The concept is based on a unique combination of various acoustic technologies, made possible by means of
sophisticated signal processing (DSP). The result is an impressive sound image emanating from an unobtrusive beautifully-designed object.
The Zikmu Parrot speakers employ NXT technology which uses a quite different principle from a conventional loudspeaker. A honey comb membrane
structure is vibrated by a set of exciters located in carefully defined positions.
In addition, radiation from the speaker edges is low, making it possible to minimise reflections on the sides of the panel and prevent
interference with furniture in the room. Unlike a conventional loudspeaker acting as a point source, a panel's emitting surface is wider,
resulting in uniform energy distribution. Reflections from the room's walls are more diffuse, thereby enriching the sound image rather than
imparing it through interference.
Compact bass casing
The bottom part of the loudspeaker contains a powerful downward firing sub-woofer and a bass-reflex system. Bass reproduction is amplified
by placing the housing as close as possible to the floor. The sub-woofer is equipped with a neodymium magnet for maximum power in minimum
space. The box interior is reinforced by a metal structure that eliminates distortion.
Flawless stereo imaging
Parrot draws on its wireless technology to deliver a perfect stereo image. Two real left and right speakers provide rich and deep sound.
Thanks to the wireless link between the two speakers, you no longer have to settle for second best as with other iPod docking stations.
With the Zikmu PC software, you can easily assign the left or right stereo channel to either of the speakers.
