The updated Marantz SR5004 digital surround receiver replaces the well respected SR5003, producing 100 Watts RMS, sufficient for all but the largest of rooms. It is a high-performance,
high-power home cinema receiver that offers outstanding surround
sound quality, outstanding video conversion and multiroom with multi-source flexibility.
The new Marantz SR5004 supports all Dolby, DTS surround sound formats, and SRS Circle Surround II.
The on-screen display quickly takes you through the set-up. The 7 times equal power amplifier section, with high current discrete output on all
channels handle each power attack of a film
and offers excellent sound quality on music playback from DVD or CD as well.
This new SR5004 upgrade from the SR5003 has added:
- more power with 100 Watts RMS compared to the previous 90 Watts
- Decoders for the new Dolby PLIIz standard in addition to Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio
- Ability to handle playback of music received on Bluetooth from a Bluetooth enabled laptop or mobile device, with the optional RX101 connected to the M-XPort
As before it distinguishes itself from the Marantz entry model by the addition of:
- Three HDMI1.3a inputs for digital audio and video including Deep Color support plus one output
- Built-in video scaler from I-Chips for up-scaling all analogue signals to HDMI 1080p
- M-DAX audio enhancer for all compressed audio formats as MP-3, WMA, AAC, etc.
- HT-EQ (Cinema equalization) and Dolby Headphone
- Bi-Amp Drive Capability for Front L/R
Highly accurate 192kHz/24-bit audio D/A converters handle the analogue to
digital conversion, resulting in more faithful sound quality. The SR5003 is built to Marantz standards with refinements such as video conversion and
HDMI(1.3a) switching, a metal faceplate, video off mode and high grade components.
Music
Marantz’s proprietary M-DAX (Marantz Dynamic Audio eXpander) makes even compressed audio signals (MP3s, AM/FM broadcasts, etc.) sound closer
to CDs than you ever thought possible. As it dynamically analyses a compressed signal, MDAX recreates the missing high frequency spectrum
for your enhanced enjoyment.
The multi-source, multi-room ability of the Marantz SR5004 allows you to select an independent audio source for a second room.
