Channel Plus 2184 IR emitter expansion block

The Channel Plus Model 2184 IR Breakout Block allows local IR output from Channel Plus DA-550 and DA-8200 distribution amplifiers. The distribution amplifiers have a three-pin power connector. One of the connector's pins supplies the IR remote control signals received from IR targets connected to the amplifier.

A Channel Plus 2133 IR receiver connects between the video distribution hub and the television set. When IR remote control signals are received by the target, they are inserted into the coax cable and sent back to the video hub.

Attach the Model 2184 to the amplifier's power connector and up to four single IR emitters or four twin IR emitters may be connected directly to the Channel Plus Model 2184, to allow remote control of up to eight pieces of AV equipment. To power the amplifier, the power supply transformer connects to the power jack on the Model 2184.

A four-position expansion terminal block on the Channel Plus Model 2184 provides termination for additional connections to DC power and IR emitter signals.
