Corinex PowerNet is a revolution in
connectivity, using your existing electrical outlets to create Local Area Network,
so you can share information between several computers, share printers and
safely connect your private network to the Internet. You can now install a
network anywhere you have power!
This 802.11b wireless access point allows the users of wireless equipped products such as laptops, to connect to the network
"backbone" created using Corinex Powerline adapters shown in the main section.
Additionally, two Corinex wireless access points can be used to bridge between two mains wired networks that cannot be networked together using Powerline adaptors -
for example networks that are on different phases of the mains supply - a situation common with adjacent houses.
You require one PowerNet
unit at each connection point, ie PC or printer, to make up your Local Area Network
Corinex Intelligent PowerNet uses 56-bit DES Link Encryption with key
management for secured power line communications applications, and sophisticated signal
processing to allow for 'noisy' electrical circuits
