The Pronto TSU9200 is a universal IR and RF learning remote control that
combines elegance, flexibility and ease of use. It features a classic remote feel combined with innovative personalised control possibilities.
Designed for intuitive navigation you just select what you want to do and the Pronto TSU9200 does the rest.
This latest Pronto TSU9200 has a familiar remote control look-and-feel with an easy-to-read colout LCD display and the Pronto interface that is easy
to program. It is designed for ease of navigation with just the right balance of hard buttons and on-screen interfacing. The TSU9200 displays
essential actions like ‘Watch a DVD’ and channel icons right on the LCD screen.
The Pronto TSU9200 is an ideal solution for users who like to keep it simple. The Pronto TSU9200 features four clear operation modes:
- Home mode - which is Activity based, and allows you to select an operation like "watch TV" or "watch a DVD"
- Favourite mode - which allows you to select your favourite TV channels by display icon
- Media mode - which allows you to access your PC music files using the optional PC Extender (see below)
- More mode - which allows you to control IR equipment or functions directly, eg lights, teletext or electric curtain tracks
The Pronto TSU9200 is compatible with all IR devices and has the latest available infrared codes in its universal database featuring more
than 1100 brands. But in case you have an unusual piece of IR controlled equipment,
you can still learn the codes by copying your existing remote control. Also, the IR codes for most devices
(including some suitable for RF systems) can be obtained from
Remote Central.
The TSU9200 is full of functional design details, like handy white backlighting, laser-engraved tactile buttons
to prevent wear, and a subtle minimalist docking station that doubles as a battery charger. Like other members of the Pronto range,
the TSU9200 is ‘one-of-a-kind’ remote control that integrates everything from home entertainment systems to PC-based digital music libraries.
Pronto TSU9200 is powered by a rechargeable battery when on its own docking station.
Configuration Program
The New Pronto TSU9200 is packaged with a configuration programme to enable you to get the most from the remote control. This is not the
ProntoEdit programme that comes with the more advanced
Pronto TSU9400 or Pronto TSU9600, but that does mean that it is easier to set up, which
was often a challenge for users with the previous Pronto remotes such as the RU960.
More advanced programming is possible for those that want to customise the system but for most the basic Configuration software will suit most situations.
Optional RF extender - RFX9200
By default, the TSU9200 uses infrared (IR) signals to operate devices. This means that you have to point the TSU9200's
sending eye towards the device you're operating. Normally, because the TSU9200 has 2 LED IR emitters (compared to a single one for most remote controls) the
IR signals have an operating distance of maximum 10 metres (33 feet). The strength of the IR signal also means that the IR can
be made to bounce off walls in a room to reach your device.
You can choose to operate some devices using radio frequency (RF) signals instead of IR signals. Depending on the circumstances,
RF signals have an operating distance up to approximately 30 metres (100 feet) in house and can, unlike IR signals, go through
obstacles like furniture and walls. If the device is RF then it will receive these directly. If it is an IR controlled device,
and in another room or located in a cupboard, then it can receive the signals via the RF extender.
The RF signals sent out by the TSU9200 are picked up by the RF extender RFX9200. The RF extender translates the RF signals in
IR signals and sends the IR signals to the appropriate device. Therefore, the RF extender has to be placed near the device
you're operating. This dedicated RFX9200 extender features 4 addressable IR ports with an additional addressable front IR blaster.
Its sleek subtle design is suitable for wall and cabinet placement making it an excellent home cinema or living room control extension.
Your devices will always receive IR signals.

Optional PC extender - PCX9200
A unique feature in this segment, the TSU9200 allows you to interact with your digital music library content right on the LCD screen.
The PC extender, the PCX9200, is a USB dongle that enables two-way real-time communication. By simply plugging the PC extender directly into the
computer’s USB port, you can manage your music library located on the PC or network drive directly on the TSU9200.
You can access the playlist and cover art as well as a search function to find exactly the music you want.
The Pronto TSU9200 supports two-way control for Windows and Windows Vista Media Center as well as Windows Media Player and iTunes.
Just add the optional PC extender, the PCX9200, to integrate your digital music files.
