The VideoEase ™ Component Video/Digital Audio Balun (500050) allows one complete component video (YPbPr or RGB) signal and one Digital Audio signal to be transmitted via cost-effective unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable in a point-to-point configuration.

Used in pairs, the Component-Digital Balun supports 480i/p, 720p and 1080i/p video formats for hi-definition (HDTV) video applications.

The product allows four coaxial cables to be replaced by one Category 5 twisted pair cable, allowing standard structured cabling techniques to be used for neater and more streamlined cabling.

This is an excellent solution for connections between AV equipment using component video as the high quality video format.

  • Supports 480i/p up to 1,000 ft (305m) via Cat5
  • Supports 720p/1080i/p up to 500 ft (152m) via Cat 5
  • Moulded colour-coded RCA cable leads
  • Supports digital audio on fourth twisted pair up to 1,000 feet (305m) via Cat 5 UTP
  • Gold-plated connector
  • RJ45 sockets for patch lead connection to wall mounted data outlets
