The QED WM16 speaker switch allows you to switch on and off a pair of speakers in a particular room. The WM16 speaker switch is normally used in conjunction
with a speaker switch located at the central point with the amplifier, or when used on its own in a two-way switch system with an amplifier which can handle impedences down to
4 Ohms. A good example of this scenario is when used with a Sonos ZP120 driving two rooms from a single
Sonos ZP120, or for driving more rooms when used with a
multiway speaker switch, eg the QED SS30 3 way switch for outputting to three rooms from the same ZP120.
The WM16 has silver plated switch contacts to minimise audio loss. Designed to suit speaker cable
and working at amplified level, ie to be positioned after the amplifier, the WM16 has screw terminal connections for easily connecting speaker cable.
It can handle cable up to 15 AWG.
The WM16 speaker switch requires a 44mm deep UK style back box.
The WM16 speaker switch is mounted on the System 45 frame with a white faceplate to
match the Systemline Modular
multi-room audio controls.
NB: Do not mount this faceplate in a back box together with a 240V mains power socket or switch.
Alternative faceplates: System 45
Alternative faceplates are available in the System 45 range in Polished Brass, Brushed Brass and Bright Polished Chrome.
