The Marantz ST7001 is their new flagship tuner, featuring a dual band DAB tuner to cover both frequency bands (L & III) available for DAB
designed to make sure that you don’t miss out on any important station. The ST7001 will double up as an FM and AM tuner as well and features 100 programmable preset stations, on DAB and
100 stations on FM/AM.
DAB is broadcast on terrestrial networks, and you are able to receive it using only a tiny non directional sub antenna. The digital audio signal compression on MPEG standard offers data rates up to
384kBit/s, ensuring a high sound quality without distortion. NB. Most stations currently broadcasting in the UK broadcast at 128kBit/s with some up to 192kBit/s.
The Marantz ST7001 also has RDS (Radio Data System) to give you information about the station, programme type, time, etc. Manual station name allows you to add the name that you want to see
for any particular station, and is useful if the station does not output RDS.
The ST7001 has a sleep/timer function giving full programmability of the switch on/off operation including the amplifier. This is very useful if you want to record a timed radio broadcast or for
waking up in the morning.
As with other Marantz HiFi separates, the ST7001 incorporates the Marantz D-Bus system to inteface with other Marantz equipment for ease of use, and comes complete with a remote control.
