5.1 Surround sound
The use of a Systemline Modular HCCP 5.1 surround sound input plate allows you to expand your Systemline Modular system into a 5.1
home cinema arrangement using either in-ceiling active speakers or Zone Amplifier Modules and conventional speakers.
To do this you require a DVD player that has a built-in Dolby 5.1 decoder outputting on phono sockets not
solely digital co-ax.
For an in-ceiling system, two pairs of ALM2 in-ceiling active speakers are used (no IR sensor) for the front and rear
left and right. The centre channel uses a single SLM2IR active in-ceiling speaker (with IR) set to mono mode. The
sub-woofer frequencies are produced by a single SLM2 active in-ceiling speaker without IR set to mono mode, and set to
output only bass notes.
Two ZAM Zone Amplifier Modules can be used to drive conventional front left, right and centre speakers (free-standing
or in-wall versions) if required leaving the rear and sub-woofer speakers as ceiling mounted.
