NXT Technolgy

Unlike conventional cone loudspeakers which operate with a piston like action, producing a focus and directional sound (above left), NXT introduces resonant vibrations to the entire surface of the lightweight speaker panel via an electrical transducer (above right).

The panel vibrates in much the same way as a piano or accoustic guitar, producing a highly diffuse and dispersed sound energy. Sound is radiated in all directions and in such a random manner that reflected sound from boundaries is far less damaging - see sound disribution images below.

The resultant effect is much clearer sound, especially in rooms with hard surfaces or large open areas.
