The Silent Gliss 5400 single track (above left) and the 5420 twin channel track (above right) have a smooth, silent, non stretch belt drive operation contained
within the metal tracks, and roller glides for medium to heavy weight curtains, weighing up to 44kg in total. The tracks
can be wall or ceiling fixed, and can be bent to match bay window profiles.
Wave heading
At no extra cost the Silent Gliss 5400 can be ordered with the new Wave heading system allowing the curtain to hang in a smooth, simple and continuous ‘wave’
effect. As an alternative to traditional pinch, pencil pleat or goblet style headings, Wave ™ offers a more contemporary curtain presentation
with the economy of standard ruffling tape.
When completely closed or part open, the curtains offer a smooth, continuous wave effect. The Wave ™ heading stacks back neatly, taking up less
space than most traditional pleated headings.
NB. If you select the WAVE heading system please note that you will need to have your curtains made up with the appropriate WAVE heading
tape and ideally iron-on hemming tape to ensure that curtains follow the Wave pattern when folding. Usually your
professional curtain maker will use these in place of the normal pencil pleat heading tape. If they do not have these, or if you want to do it yourself,
we can supply both the WAVE curtain heading tape (part no.6349) and the iron-on hemming tape (part no.6363) by the metre - see compatible
products listed below. These will be supplied from ourselves separately to the track which comes direct from Silent Gliss.

Sophisticated motor technology
Two new motor options are offered on the Silent Gliss 5400 and the 5420 tracks to suit curtains up to 44kg and tracks up to 10m.
The standard motor is the 9020, with an option of the 9021 motor with integrated RF receiver for use with the Silent Gliss RF (Radio Frequency)
remote control or wall switch.
The soft start/soft stop function and an automatic obstacle detection are just two features of these motors to improve the
convenience of these 5400 and 5420 tracks in daily use. Operation can by by mains switch or with the Silent Gliss 0450
Radio Control system. The latter making installation very straightforward.
A manual override facility when fitted to the System 5420 is helpful for applications where there is a high risk
that the curtain is operated unfamiliar users which could cause product damage (hotels, etc.). This
facility also allows the opening of the curtain in the event of a power failure and emergency.
NB: When fitted with the manual override facility, the 520 track cannot be bent and has a maximum track length of 6m. The maximum weight is also limited to 20kg
On both the 5400 and the 5420 the motor remains hidden by the curtains or can be recessed in the ceiling cavity. There is no transformer to
hide behind the curtains as with the Autoglide because the transformer is built into the motor housing.
Control options
The standard 9020 motor track comes with a wall mounted switch to be located usually behind the curtain. The 9021 version with built-in
RF receiver allows you to have the choice of remote control in a handset or as a surface mounted RF switch that requires no direct connection to the motor.
In situations where you have mulitple tracks we can supply a multi-channel remote to permit ease of use.
If you require the facility of timed opening and closing you can add the Silent Gliss 0900 timer that features on the Silent Gliss Autoglide
AutoRemote track.

NB. tracks with WAVE headed curtains are additionally restricted to 2.5kg per metre of track, ie 2m track maximum curtain weight would be 5kg, 4m track
10.0kg, 5m track 12.5kg and so on.
