This range of CyberSelect passive AV baluns allows you to transmit different audio and video combinations over standard UTP Category 5e cable. This
range is based on a series of balun bodies with separate connector leads, thereby enabling us to offer you a wide range of alternatives.
Dual Audio-Video (2AV12)
The CyberSelect Dual Audio-Video Balun (2AV12) allows two composite video channels and one stereo (or two mono)
audio channels to be transmitted via four unshielded twisted pairs, ie a single Cat5e cable. Used in pairs, the Dual AV Balun is
used in home or commercial applications as a smart, fast and cost-effective means of connecting audio-video equipment using
twisted pair instead of coax cable for distribution to multiple monitors.
Ideal for video-conferencing, audio-video distribution, S-Video and other dual audio-video systems. Because of the
convenience of the RJ45 sockets on the balun the 2AV12 offers a good alternative to a stereo set of
analogue audio baluns,
and a composite video balun for simple AV systems distributing
composite video with stereo audio where no IR control is required.
S-Video - Stereo Audio (2AV17)
The CyberSelect S-video/Stereo Audio Balun (2AV17) allows the transmission of S-video plus stereo audio over standard unshielded Category 5e cable over
distances up to 200 metres.
This is an excellent solution for connections between AV amplifiers and projectors using S-video as the high quality
video format. Use of Cat 5e cables avoids the difficulty of routing bulky (and costly) S-video cable.
Used in pairs the S-video/Stereo Audio balun handles audio frequencies
from 73Hz to 156KHz (theoretical maximum) over distances up to 200m.
SCART (2AV60/61)
The CyberSelect SCART balun allows a single composite video or S-Video signal plus stereo analogue audio signals to be transmitted
via unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable using SCART connectors. The SCART baluns come as a transmit/receive pair and features
two (2) models: 2AV60 and 2AV61.
The 2AV60 is connected to the video source (transmit) and the 2AV61 is connected to the video display (receive).
The CyberSelect SCART balun is compatible with the S-video with stereo audio baluns for cabling versatility.
If you would like to purchase a SCART transmitter or receiver balun with a different version at the other end, please phone us.
These baluns support PAL, SECAM and NTSC.
Quad Audio (4AA33)
Developed for the custom install market the CyberSelect Quad Audio Balun (2AV33) allows up to four analogue line audio signals, normally
carried over co-ax cable to be transmitted via unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable in a point-to-point connection, over distances of up to 1000m. Used in pairs,
the Quad Audio Balun eliminates up to four co-axial cables, allowing audio-video equipment to be connected via space-efficient
and cost-effective Category 5 twisted pair cable.
Quad Video (4VV32)
The CyberSelect Quad Video Balun (4VV32) allows four composite video channels to be transmitted via four unshielded twisted pairs,
ie a single Cat5e cable. Used in pairs, the Quad Video Balun is
used in home or commercial applications as a smart, fast and cost-effective means of connecting video equipment using
twisted pair instead of coax cable for distribution to multiple monitors.
SCART RGB (4VV63)
The CyberSelect SCART RGB balun is unique in transmitting full RGB via unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable in a point-to-point connection with
SCART connectors for the equipment. NB. Audio is not carried with this balun system.
