The new Silent Gliss 5090 Autoglide is an upgraded version of the previous Autoglide powered track. It has an aluminium track and a revised much quieter Silent Gliss
non stretch belt drive operation to give high levels of performance and reliability.
It also carries the Silent Gliss 5 year guarantee.
Silent Gliss Autoglide is the perfect solution for the home combining a touch of luxury
with an excellent deterrent to intruders. Autoglide has a maximum track length of 5
metres and a maximum curtain weight of 15kg. This new 5090 version can be bent at the factory to suit your bay windows.
The Autoglide 5090IR model is supplied with a wall mounted switch, and InfraRed control system - sensor and remote handset - giving you control at any time.
The motor is discreetly hidden behind the curtain, and can be fitted at either end of the track.
If you would prefer timer control or light control then look at the Autoglide 5090TL, which has these functions but not IR control
or the Autoglide 5090TC which gives you
the ultimate choice of control methods including light sensor and IR as well as timer control.
The motor is low voltage using a plug-in power adapter.
Wave heading
For a small extra cost (please ask for details) the Silent Gliss 5090IR can be ordered with the new Wave heading system allowing the curtain to hang in a smooth, simple and continuous ‘wave’
effect. As an alternative to traditional pinch, pencil pleat or goblet style headings, Wave ™ offers a more contemporary curtain presentation
with the economy of standard ruffling tape.
When completely closed or part open, the curtains offer a smooth, continuous wave effect. The Wave ™ heading stacks back neatly, taking up less
space than most traditional pleated headings.
NB. If you select the WAVE heading system please note that you will need to have your curtains made up with the appropriate WAVE heading
tape and ideally iron-on hemming tape to ensure that curtains follow the Wave pattern when folding. Usually your
professional curtain maker will use these in place of the normal pencil pleat heading tape. If they do not have these, or if you want to do it yourself,
we can supply both the WAVE curtain heading tape (part no.6349) and the iron-on hemming tape (part no.6363) by the metre - see compatible
products listed below. These will be supplied from ourselves separately to the track which comes direct from Silent Gliss.

Straight tracks up to 5m long and curtains weighing up to 15kg can be controlled. On tracks with a single or two bends the maximum weight of
curtains drops to 10kg, see options shown right.
NB. tracks with WAVE headed curtains are additionally restricted to 2.5kg per metre of track, ie 2m track maximum curtain weight would be 5kg, 4m track
10.0kg, 5m track 12.5kg and so on.
Measuring and pricing a bay window
The charge for bending is a fixed price and allows for up to two bends or a single curve. To ensure that the angles of bend fit your bay window correctly it is important to ensure that you
take the correct measurements accurately. The diagram below shows the necessary measurements. These should be "frame size", ie measurements of the
actual bay. Please complete these on the
order form.
NB: For tracks with a total length between those shown select next size price band
These Autoglide tracks do not require professional installation. Tracks come only in white, and can be ceiling or wall fixed, with stacking
of the curtains on either side of the window, or all on one side. Tracks will be delivered bespoke
cut to size. For a length between two sizes price at the longer length, eg 220cm price is the price for 250cm.
