This all new range of Clever Technologies Media Center PCs (cleverCX) have been developed to provide a cost effective solution for
installers and users looking to extend the Media Centre experience to multiple rooms in the home.
The cleverCX is a low powered, virtually silent device which can be installed in any room or in a central distribution
cabinet to provide autonomous access to all content stored in a central Media Centre library including a
DVD library for example on a clever3000HD or on its own hard disc drive (HDD). The cleverCX runs a full version of
Microsoft Media Centre (MCE) which means that, unlike
other extenders such as the Linksys DMA2100 and
DMA2200, it isn’t totally reliant on the main media centre to function.
Other features include a built in DVD or BluRay Disc player (depending on model selected) for local playback and/or copying to the central
library, dual freeview tuners
to provide live TV viewing through the cleverCX with the ability to record programs locally or to the central
library, optional wireless LAN interface for flexibility in retrofit scenarios and highly versatile connectivity options to ensure compatibility with
the widest possible range ofAV equipment including HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, S-video and composite video outputs and both analogue and digital audio.
The cleverCXis also available with Autonomic Home’s Media Control Server pre-installed which
enables integration with leading automation and control solutions from AMX, Creston, clevertechnologies and HAI.
The CleverCX replaces your:
- Windows Media Center Extender or streaming device
- DVD or BluRay Disc player (depending on model chosen), with top quality digital audio/video output (HDMI) for the ultimate pictures on your
large plasma or LCD screen, and Dolby Digtal 7.1 surround sound that you can connect directly into your
AV amplifier or AV receiver to give a true home cinema experience
- DVD recorder, with slot loading and the two TV tuners that allow you to record one programme whist watching another or record two programmes simultaneously. The Clever1750 also allows you to 'pause' live TV
and even 'rewind' live TV for a short time when you haven't tried to record it
- CD player either as a single disc player, or with the hard disc based (250Gb) storage on the Clever900, you can store your whole music library,
in either uncompressed
or compressed eg MP3, format and have them instantly available for play back through your HiFi system
- PC computer, since this is a full MicroSoft Windows Vista Home Premium computor with Intel Core2 Duo E7200 processor.
This allows you to perform all of the normal PC functions
using the CleverCX, including surfing the Internet, but using your plasma or LCD screen as the viewing device. A Microsoft Infrared keyboard is supplied
as part of the package
- Freeview digibox, the CleverCX replaces your Freeview digibox.
A hand held remote control, with its "back to home" green
button, which makes the system very easy to use, is supplied as part of the package
