The MuxLab VideoEase S-video baluns allows the transmission of S-video (plus stereo audio on
the appropriate version) over standard unshielded Category 5e cable over
distances up to 305 metres.
This is an excellent solution for connections between AV amplifiers and projectors using S-video as the high quality
video format. Use of Cat 5e cables avoids the difficulty of routing bulky (and costly) S-video cable.
Used in pairs the S-video balun comes in three forms, an S-video only version (500016), an S-video with stereo audio version (500017)
and S-video with stereo HiFi audio (500038). The HiFi version handles frequencies from 20Hz to 20KHZ, the standard stereo version handles frequencies
from 60Hz to 20KHz up to 300m. All of
these can be used in a point to point situation.
For multiple point distribution use the MuxLab AV distribution hub. This allows one S-video signal and stereo audio
to be distributed to up to 8 destinations.
