These occupancy switches are used for switching 230V mains lighting directly.
All switches handle loads up to 6 amps (1500W), including fluorescent lighting or fans. The dimming version load handling
depends on the make and model of the ballasts.
There is a built in fully adjustable photocell that can be used
to prevent the light coming on on bright days. The time lag before the light is switched off is adjustable
up to a maximum of 40 minutes
Ceiling mounted versions
This flushing fitting PIR occupancy switch (CEFL PIRDD 10VDC) requires approximately 65mm (2.5") of space above
the ceiling (see above left), and a 63 or 64mm hole, and comes with 2m of cable attached. This flush mounted PIR is
sealed against splashes and condensation for use when installed in the ceiling of bathrooms, shower rooms, etc.
It incorporates Daylight Linked Dimming which automatically dims lights according to ambient light level,
to maintain a constant brightness between 100 and 1000 lux (adjustable), when the room is occupied. Suitable for dimmable ballasts with 1-10VDC input.
Bring lights on – only when area is occupied. Automatically dim lights according to ambient light level,
to maintain constant brightness. Adjustable time lag before switching off. For suspended or plasterboard ceilings.

Wall mounted versions
Alternatively replace your existing wall switch with the wall mounted PIR switch.
This WAPIR switch requires no neutral wire and simply fits into a 16mm deep back box. It has a manual override
off switch on the front of the plate. NB. This unit switches but does not feature daylight linked dimming.
The WAPIR switches the light ON by movement sensor and OFF after a pre-set time. It uses a battery
(PP3) to operate the electronics.
If you have a neutral wire in the back box, or the lights are normally ON and you need
the PIR to switch them OFF for a pre-set time,
then you need the WACE PIR unit. This has no battery, because it runs off the mains power supply. NB: requires neutral.
