The G-Rail 6200W by Goelst is an excellent solution for those who are looking for a high quality
curtain track to suit bay windows.
The G-Rail 6200W is a low voltage electrically operated track that is delivered ready assembled for ease of installation,
(motor needs to be attached to the track) and comes complete with Infra-Red remote control as standard. This is a high quality aluminium
track that can be factory bent to a
minimum radius of 20cm. The motor is exceptionally quiet, and has slow start and slow stop phases to ease the stress on the motor,
but which also keeps the noise of the system to a minimum. Start and stop points are simple to set using the IR remote control.
The G-Rail 6200W is available in lengths from 1 metre up to 12 metres, as either straight or curved tracks. The maximum weight
of curtain that can be safely pulled is dependent upon the length of the track itself. A 2m bay window track can handle 20kg,
a 3m bay window 30kg, up to the maximum of 45 kg for tracks between 5m and 12m.

New "Pilot Release System" option
The 6280-PRS Pilot Release System is an option on the Goelst G-Rail 6200, 6300 and 6302 tracks. It allows the curtains to be
operated by hand in the event of an emergency, power failure or product unfamiliarity. It simply disconnects upon a loading of greater than 0.5Kg
being placed on the curtain leading edge. To reconnect, the curtains are opened then closed using the remote control.
This automatically re-attaches the PRS system to the system.
RF remote kit option (for when you do not have 'line of sight')
Most situations for remote control suit IR (InfraRed), especially home cinema, where a learning remote control can be used for
multiple devices including the curtains. There are, however, occasions when you do not have 'line of sight' to the IR sensor on the
curtain track. This calls for RF (Radio Frequency) remote control, a facility now offered as an option on the Goelst G-Rail tracks.
Measuring and pricing a bay window
The charge for bending depends on the angle: a 90 degree bend is the standard and therefore lowest cost. Other angles are
charged as non-standard. To ensure that the angles of bend fit your bay window correctly it is important to ensure that you
take the correct measurements accurately. The diagram below shows the necessary measurements. These should be "frame size", ie measurements of the
actual bay. Please complete these on the
order form.
