The new Silent Gliss 5090 Autoglide is an upgraded version of the previous Autoglide powered track. It has an aluminium track and a revised much quieter Silent Gliss
non stretch belt drive operation to give high levels of performance and reliability.
It also carries the Silent Gliss 5 year guarantee.
Silent Gliss Autoglide is the perfect solution for the home combining a touch of luxury
with an excellent deterrent to intruders. Autoglide has a maximum track length of 5
metres and a maximum curtain weight of 15kg. This new 5090 version can be bent at the factory to suit your bay windows.
The Autoglide 5090TC (Total Control) model is supplied with InfraRed control (handset and sensor), a wall mounted timer unit, and dawn and dusk light sensor, which can be set to open and close the curtains
according to the levels of daylight. This combination of timer and light sensor means you can open the curtains based on time, say 7.30am but close them when it starts to
get dark. The light sensor can also be set to allow you to close the curtains when it becomes very bright rather than dark. Whilst this loses the
dawn and dusk facility it can be used to protect furnishings on very sunny days. In this scenario you would open and close the curtains based on the timer
on a daily basis.
The motor is discreetly hidden behind the curtain, and can be fitted at either end of the track. The motor is low voltage 24V item using a plug-in power adapter.
If you would prefer solely InfraRed remote control then consider either the more basic Autoglide 5090IR (InfraRed) or
for the timer and light functions without IR control consider the
Autoglide 5090TL (Timer/Light) version.
Wave heading
For a small extra cost (please ask for details) the Silent Gliss 5090TC can be ordered with the new Wave heading system allowing the curtain to hang in a smooth, simple and continuous ‘wave’
effect. As an alternative to traditional pinch, pencil pleat or goblet style headings, Wave ™ offers a more contemporary curtain presentation
with the economy of standard ruffling tape.
When completely closed or part open, the curtains offer a smooth, continuous wave effect. The Wave ™ heading stacks back neatly, taking up less
space than most traditional pleated headings.
Straight tracks up to 5m long and curtains weighing up to 15kg can be controlled. On tracks with a single or two bends the maximum weight of
curtains drops to 10kg, see options shown right.
Measuring and pricing a bay window
The charge for bending is a fixed price and allows for up to two bends or a single curve. To ensure that the angles of bend fit your bay window correctly it is important to ensure that you
take the correct measurements accurately. The diagram below shows the necessary measurements. These should be "frame size", ie measurements of the
actual bay. Please complete these on the
order form.
NB: For tracks with a total length between those shown select next size price band
These Autoglide tracks do not require professional installation. Tracks come only in white, and can be ceiling or wall fixed, with stacking
of the curtains on either side of the window, or all on one side. Tracks will be delivered bespoke
cut to size. For a length between two sizes price at the longer length, eg 220cm price is the price for 250cm.
