What are 19-inch racks?
19" racks are a standardized system for mounting various equipment modules in a stack, or rack. Racks consists of two
long, thin metal plates standing vertically in the same plane with a space of approximately 18 inches between them.
What is a `U`?
The vertical height of 19" rack equipment is usually a multiple of a standard unit of height called the `U`, meaning Unit.
One U is 1.75 inches (44.45 mm).
The Cinemax range
These Cinemax professional 19" racks come in a range of flat packs that are easily assembled in minutes. The unique design
provides the same amount of rigidity as any conventional 19" rack. They are ideal for storing multiroom equipment that is available
with rack mount fittings such as the Russound CAV6.6 and
CAM6.6T multiroom controllers,
ST2 Twin tuner, SMS Smart Media Server,
or the Sonance power amp.

Making up your system
Principal accessories to the basic rack frame are shown below. Use Cantilever shelves for carrying equipment wihtout rack ears,
unless it is very heavy such as power amplifiers or AV receivers when the weight consideration may suggest using ventilated shelves.
Put this heavy equipment nearer the base of the rack and light equipment such as DVD players, Sky digiboxes, etc nearer the top.
The power strip fits on the rear of the rack and so does not need to be taken into account when calculating how many 'U' you
need. Fit castors on the base to allow you to move the rack for ease of access to the rear.
Cantilever shelf
For components without rack mount ears, Cinemax Cantalever shelves offer an economical and highly functional solution.
Vented sides offer superior cooling. Finished in a robust durable black powder coat.
Weight loading for shelves is 20kg. Dimensions are 435mm int width and 400mm depth. Available in 1U, 2U and 3U.

19 inch rack vented panels, to seperate section to allow your equipment to breathe. Available in 1U and 2U
Facia
19 inch rack blanking panels, for filling the frontal gaps or to seperate sections to allow your equipment to breathe.

Fan tray
This 1U fan tray with 3 fans allows for complete position flexibility to meet changing cooling requirements,
allowing the fan trays to focus on high heat generating locations.
Power strip
This rackmount power distribution unit is equipped with 5, 7 or 10 power outlets and 1U in height.
Standard equipment includes an illuminated combination power switch/circuit breaker located on the front panel.
Vented shelf
The Cinemax vented rackshelf is a zero-space shelf that mounts to the sides of the rack rail (not the threaded face)
providing more useable shelf area and allowing it to carry more weight than the cantilever shelf.
Venting on the bottom improves cooling for equipment that may generate excess heat such as amplifiers.
Feet and castors
Feet are adjustable. Two types of castor are available; medium duty and heavy duty. Both have brakes to lock the rack in position.
