The Endeleo system is a true multi-format matrix switcher and transmission system, capable of handling a range of different
AV (audio/video) formats and delivering these over a single UTP Cat5e cable to each auto-sensing multi-format receiver unit. Although this is a
professional system often found in commercial situations the functionality means that it is equally at home in high-end residential
multiroom AV installations.
The on board browser management system provides, either a local or remote user, complete control over which source is
displayed on which display device.
Universal Distribution Matrix
The core of the system is the Universal Distribution Matrix (UDM), which occupies a 1U mounting in a standard
19" rack system. This offers 4 multi-format inputs (plus 4 composite video inputs)
and switches them to 16 RJ45 outputs. Each output incorporates a AV balun transmitter allowing the use of Category 5e cable for
carrying the signal over longer distances, up to 300m for 1280x1024 resolution for example.
The system is capable of supporting VGA (UXGA),
Composite, S-Video,
Component video, and stereo, S/PDIF and Dolby 5.1 digital audio.
Hubs can be cascaded to cater for an increased number of displays.
Bi-Directional control
Control of the system is achieved using the on-board software incorporated into the UDM. This allows
rapid set-up, naming of the sources and displays, and then switching of inputs to the displays via a web browser.
The system scheduler can power on/off displays and switch to different video sources at specific times on a daily, weekly or
monthly basis.
The UDM receiver is supplied with an IR receiver port. When user control is granted, the user can switch video sources via an IR remote control.
The system incorporates IR relay such that with an original remote or a learning remote, full control of the source is possible
from the remote room.
Intelligent Receiver Technology
Each UDM receiver is powered over the Cat5e cable from the hub. As the hub is switched from one audio/video source to another
the UDM receiver detects a change in the type of video signal and will automatically switch the plasma or LCD screen to
its new video signal. What you put in is what you get out. For example a switch from S-video input to VGA at the hub input
will cause a switch in the output from the receiver.
(This means that for a full range of input signals you will need to have multiple connections to the display device.)
All UDM receivers incorporate Endeleo's IDM (Integrated Device Management) technology. Full control sequences for both IR
and RS232 serial control can be stored in the receiver, allowing the ad-hoc or schedules display control.
