The Global SPC4F Super Plus Combiner (with satellite F type connectors) solves the problem of controlling multiple Sky boxes on one home TV distribution system.
The Global SPC4F Super Plus Combiner (with satellite F type connectors) solves the problem of controlling multiple Sky boxes on one home TV distribution system. The Global SPC4 Super Plus Combiner allows complete control of up to four Sky digiboxes on the same RF system when used in conjunction with an IR relay system such as the Global Sky mini tvLINK Pro.
The four Digiboxes can be any combination of the standard SKY Digibox, SKY +, or SKY HD or if required, all of the same type.
How does it work?
The Global SPC4F Super Plus Combiner is used on the uplink to the TV distribution amplifier. You simply allocate the remote control in each room to one of the four Sky digiboxes connected to the system and thereafter the remote control will operate ONLY that digibox. This allows complete control of all set-top boxes by passing the IR signal from the Sky remotes pointed at the Global Sky mini tvLINK Pro IR sensors, to the respective Sky digibox. This allows you complete control from anywhere in the house, whilst watching different Sky channels in different rooms at the same time.
With the Global Super Plus Combiner SPC4F it is now possible to locate all the digiboxes in one place but independently control them from other locations within the home.
NB. This device is powered by the RF2 output from your Sky box. The 0 connection on the SPC4F MUST be connected to a Sky box. The SPC4 will not power via any other port ie 1, 2 or 3.
The only constraint to the use of the Global Super Plus Combiner is that once a remote control has been programed to operate with one of the digiboxes connected to the system, it will NOT operate any of the other Digiboxes within the system.
How to assign a remote to a particular Sky box
NB. Each remote control can be setup to control ONLY one box, but from ANY location.
1. Press 'TV' button on Sky Remote Control
2. Hold down the 'SELECT' and 'BLUE' button until the red led flashes twice
3. Press '0' or '1' or '2' or '3'. This should correspond to the port to which the Sky set-top box you want to control, is connected
4. Press select, the red button will flash twice
5. Press 'SKY' button. Your Sky Remote Control should now only control one of the boxes
