Russounds new RSF-610T is a single stereo speaker, the only single stereo speaker in the Acclaim range. The speaker features the “flat position” design, this means the woofer-driver assembly is fixed downwards whilst the tweeter is centrally housed in a pivoting housing which enables higher frequencies to be moved into a focused dispersal. This Russound speaker has been described as a hybrid in terms of its materials and performance – as it spans the mid-range performance vs price specification. Despite being very reasonably priced – it in effect should not be!
The 6.5 inch RSF-610T speaker has some fantastic features that put it in the field of the perfect all-rounder in many respects – and balances all demands with a ‘real-world’ attitude of performance and price considerations.
This is a deceptive speaker, it has two high quality pivoting silk tweeters on a raised baffle assembly above a 6.5 inch IMPP ribbed cone woofer. Both woofer and tweeter materials would be considered above entry level of this type of product, enabling you to get fantastic performance in small areas without going over budget.
Two Way Pivoting Tweeters
The pivoting low diffraction assembly focuses on high frequency sound the can directed as required, independently of the woofer to either create or diffuses sound fields.
with its 6.5 inch Polypropylene cone this single stereo speaker is well damped to accommodate resonance for all program material, spoken and musical.
Magnetic Edgeless Grille
The edgeless magnetic grille has been designer inspired, it conceals the speaker body fully, yet allows full high fidelity sound to be generated. The grille is also painted to be customised to your environment.
*A square grille is available at an additional cost.
The single point stereo speakers can easily be incorporated into a multi-room application where really good stereo coverage is required.
As with all of the Acclaim range, the RSF-610T has a wider power handling capacity, bridging the ability to be driven by smaller amplifiers (Like those in Russound’s intuitive and easy to use A-Bus systems), with handling starting out at 5 watts, right up to higher powered systems (beefy old power amps or home cinema AVR’s etc.) that take it to 120 watts – making ideal for any system. So it is the perfect all-rounder in many respects – and balances all demands with a ‘real-world’ attitude of performance and price considerations.
