Marantz CD6002 CD Player

The Marantz CD6002 CD player uses an audio circuit section (HDAMs) directly derived from the award winning £1,000 SA-1551 CD player, offering perfect symmetry between the right and left channels for improved stereo replay and shorter path circuit boards to minimise signal degradation. This means that the CD6002 offers a level of performance that just a few years ago would cost around that £1,000 mark.

The Marantz CD6002 has at its heart a 24-bit/192kHz DAC from Cirrus Logic offering advanced Delta Sigma architecture. To deliver its class-leading playback, the CR6002 uses only the finest components, such as high grade electrolytic film capacitors and rectification by Shottky barrier diodes.

The Marantz HDAMs - Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules - replace single chip, 'off-the-shelf' Op-Amps, operating as a buffer amplifier and as a Low Pass Filter. These have a dramatically improved performance over regular IC Op-Amps and help preserve the music's dynamic structure and tonal quality with their outstanding speed and timbral accuracy.

Elsewhere you will find an over-sized transformer for power supply stability, a separate rectifier circuit for the analogue and digital sections and a low-noise LCD display that can be turned off to minimise high frequency noise interfering with the signal.

The rigid chassis and metal front panel, renowned of all Marantz equipment, provide a rock-solid base for high quality performance. The Auto Music Scan (AMS) quickly finds the music on the disc and the Quick Replay enables you to repeat favourite passages. The pitch control allows adjusting the playback speed as well.

This Marantz CD6002 plays CD-R and CD-RW discs and displays CD-Text information such as artist name, and track titles. A choice of coaxial or optical digital outputs combined with the high grade analogue out guarantees the best connectivity.

A high quality headphone output and supplied RC001CD remote control complements the versatility of the Marantz CD6002.
