The QED WM14 is a seven step volume control with electronic protection; from 'fully off' to 'maximum volume'. Designed to suit speaker cable
and working at amplified level, ie to be positioned after the amplifier, the WM14 has screw terminal connections for easily connecting speaker cable.
It can handle cable up to 2.5 sq mm cross sectional area, eg Tech+Link 224 strand.
Use four of the WM14 volume controls with a QED Transmatch (SS50) five-way speaker switch to make a simple 4 room, single source audio system. You can add
a Roomlink IR sensor in a double gang faceplate to give remote IR control of your source components. NB: To re-fit the WM14 in a double gang back box you
have to remove the front knob and faceplate, insert it in the frame, then reassemble.
The WM14 volume control requires a 44mm deep UK style back box. Power rating 20 Watts per channel music power.
The WM14 volume control is mounted on the System 45 frame with a white faceplate to
match the MusiQ IS and Systemline Modular
multi-room audio controls.
NB: Do not mount this faceplate in a back box together with a 240V mains power socket or switch.
