The majority of Sky digiboxes come with a second RF output to allow digital satellite programmes and looped-through UHF signals to be distributed to a second TV, or to a multi-point distribution system in conjunction with a suitable amplifier. This second RF output is also equipped to accept infra-red remote control commands sent ‘in reverse’ from the remote viewing location(s). This allows a remote digital satellite viewer the convenience of full control of the digibox.
The Global mini tvLINK Pro F101501 provides the remote infra-red receiver and coaxial cable coupler necessary to take advantage of this capability within the Sky digibox. Global tvLINK requires non-isolated outlets and a suitable distribution amplifier.
This is the mini version of the popular Global tvLINK Pro used by installers -not the standard consumer version with push fit IEC connectors- but with a much smaller IR receiver and ideal for use with flat screen televisions. The mini tvLINK is designed to stick discretely to the television and does not require a large flat surface to sit on.
Like the standard Pro version this Global mini tvLINK Pro comes with a satellite F type male connector on the wall side of the unit (not TV side), to ensure a more solid connection than using the standard IEC push fit TV connections as found on the cheaper Global mini tvLINK. In case you do not have F type connections we also include an F type to IEC connector
NB: When using the Global tvLINK with a Sky+ or a Sky HD receiver, you will need to use the relevant remote control in order to change channels.
This device does not work as a room extender with the Labgear Handylink kit (MRX120).For extra rooms with that kit you need an MRX110. (For MRX110 see the Labgear Handylink page.)
